We have a deep understanding of the local regulatory environment, and our trusted relationships with utilities, agencies, and reliable subcontractors enable us to deliver projects on time and on budget. We take pride in being a reliable partner in building solar projects for our valued clients. The work we do directly benefits New England towns, businesses, affordable housing providers, and nonprofits with clean and affordable energy.
Thanks to our roots in development we have a deep understanding of complex regulations so projects progress smoothly. We use a team approach to tackle projects with our extensive network of talented and reliable contractors. Our process dovetails easily with financing requirements to facilitate easy 3rd party due diligence and review. Using this integrated approach, we have a demonstrated capability to successfully build high-quality, high-value solar projects.
Dedicated in-house team of engineers ensure quality design throughout the entire process.
Our experienced project managers oversee every detail of the construction phases from ground breaking to final operating.
Solar farms feed clean electricity directly into the power grid resulting in significantly cheaper electricity production per watt.
Behind- or Front- of meter solar projects reduce operating costs and meet sustainability goals for businesses and towns.
Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) generate electricity at or near the point of use, decreasing transmission waste and strengthening the local power grid.
Projects start with our in-house team of credentialed engineers plus a network of PE’s, to provide fully stamped designs for construction and as-built drawings for clients. Because quality and innovation is ingrained in our process, our engineering team makes certain the construction designs are problem-free.
Our dedicated procurement team sources the best quality materials at reasonable prices through close relationships and favorable terms with reliable vendors. We rely on local distributors and use only BNEF Tier 1 components. We have logistics support for just in time delivery to our solar sites and limited warehousing capacity.
Norwich Solar has developed a reliable quality assurance program that ensures sites are built as designed and operate as intended. Our team has demonstrated capability of building projects on time and on budget with an innate ability to meet any construction schedule and attain year-end tax equity deadlines. We prioritize collaboration with our partners and communicate daily and weekly reviews of construction processes and milestones with weekly summary reports of activities.
Every stage of our projects is led by highly skilled and dedicated professionals, to ensure consistency, reliability and continuous improvement. We focus on quality, timely benchmarking, and reliable partnerships with subcontractors. Our PMs are in the field every day observing and reporting progress, completing detailed inspection, testing and commissioning plans. Every project is an opportunity to capture and incorporate lessons learned for continuous improvement.
Our construction team leaders ensure best-in-class workmanship and we provide warranty for our work. We also offer extended coverage capabilities, 24/7 monitoring, troubleshooting and quick response time via our RunTime Solar division.

Luke Cady joined Norwich Technologies in 2021 after spending six years working at SunCommon managing their solar supply chain and working extensively on ERP development. Lynn has been involved with retail for the past 20 years working for a local family owned company. Her experience is in Purchasing and Inventory Management as well as Accounting. Supporting local business is important to her and she enjoys gardening and being outdoors.
Mike’s journey to his current career of IT manager began on an Apple IIe in his 3rd grade classroom. This interest was further bolstered by a few summers at computer camp in the basement of Stone Hall on the Greenway Institute campus (where Norwich Technologies currently has an office). A brief detour led Mike to a political science degree and a decade in the music industry where he did sound at hundreds of weddings, played accordion in an Irish band and bass, guitar, and keys in a country band. Eventually he realized the real rock stars use a different kind of keyboard and so he made his triumphant return to the world of IT.
If you are reading this bio in hopes of getting some tech advice, your web search has led you astray. But in case it helps: try rebooting.
Mike is excited to join the Norwich Solar team after many years of interest and home alternative energy projects. After graduating from the University of Vermont’s Engineering Management program, Mike worked for many years implementing industrial measurement systems around the world, he looks forward to applying his experience in project management to help grow local solar.
