PROJECT SUMMARY
This 964kW, net-metered, distributed generation photovoltaic system serves Cardigan Mountain School in Canaan, NH, installed in 2016. This fixed tilt, ground-mounted solar array utilizes the proprietary, Norwich Technologies EZ-PV MetaModule installation approach to optimize installation efficiencies.
NORWICH SOLAR SCOPE
Full scope Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC). Norwich Solar worked directly with school administrators and Board members from initial, conceptual planning stages through final installation. Norwich Solar played a key role in securing solar investor, incentives, and working with the local utility to ensure optimal production and return on investment. Norwich Solar EZ-PV MetaModule approach greatly improved installation efficiency while minimizing site disruption. The MetaModule approach increased safety and decreased crew size while minimizing material handling and site disruption.
PRODUCTION STATISTICS
The project is expected to generate 1,200,000kWh of clean solar electricity in year one, saving Cardigan Mountain School ~10% for that net-metered solar energy. Over the first 25 years of the solar array, it will produce net metered solar valued at >$4,000,000 and offset the equivalent of over 26,000,000 lbs. of Carbon Dioxide emissions.
