MAXIMIZE YOUR SOLAR SAVINGS BEFORE INCENTIVES CHANGE

How Does This Work?

A Solar Services Agreement (SSA), also known as a Power Purchase Agreement, allows Municipalities to benefit from federal and state tax incentives that make solar an attractive financial opportunity. In an SSA, a third party owns the arrays (and utilizes the tax incentives) and “sells” the solar power back to the Municipality’s meters at a predetermined discount.

Why Choose a Solar Services Agreement for Your Municipality?

  • No upfront capital costs
  • Immediate electric bill reduction
  • Stable long-term energy rates
  • No utility rate hikes
  • Free long-term maintenance
  • Property tax payments to municipality by array owners

Why Act Now?

In Vermont, for example, the innovative policies and incentives the state has put in place to encourage the growth of more renewable energy have already helped many towns see significant savings in their energy bills by going solar. By law, the monetary incentives that drive the net metering program in Vermont must be reviewed and adjusted accordingly every two years starting in 2018. As a result, it is likely that the highly favorable regulations that we have in place today will be adjusted by the Public Utilities Commission by July 2018. The good news is that there is still time for Vermont businesses to act at the beginning of this year to help your town maximize today’s available monetary incentives.

Why Choose Norwich Solar Technologies?

Norwich Solar Technologies is a Vermont-based company whose mission is to help all cities and towns reap the benefits of clean, renewable solar energy and to help us achieve the state’s greenhouse gas emissions goals of 90% Renewables by 2050. To reach this mark, each village and town in Vermont, and across New England, must collectively do its part.

The good news is that by simplifying the process of going green, we’re helping towns, schools, and other organizations throughout the state to reduce their carbon footprint, lower their greenhouse gas emissions, and achieve the 90% renewables mark that we have set as our collective goal.

We’d love to help your municipality find it’s own suitable solution and make your transition to renewable energy as easy as we have for others.
