Norwich Solar (NS) announced today that NST has hired Ryan Darlow as a Development Engineer. In this role, Ryan will provide his technical expertise and site design experience to further the development of new solar projects and the expansion of renewable energy solutions offered by NST.

Norwich Solar’ Chief Development Officer Martha Staskus said, “NST is very excited about the new addition to our Development Team. Ryan’s experience in developing and interconnecting renewable energy systems strengthens our existing development capabilities.”

Prior to Norwich, Ryan worked as a project engineer for VERA Renewables where he contributed to prospecting, development, permitting, financing, and operations of wind and solar projects across the northeast. This included producing site designs and technical assessments for nearly 15 MW of distributed solar projects in Vermont and New Hampshire.

Additionally, Ryan’s background of wind resource assessment and interconnection processes enabled the power and REC sales, financing, and construction of the 5MW Holiday Hill Community Wind in Russell, Massachusetts.

At VERA Renewables, Ryan also produced a wide array of technical analyses including aesthetics, shadow flicker, and operational power performance, to meet evolving client needs. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on energy systems from the University of Vermont.
