Project Summary
Our second solar auto dealership on Sykes Mountain Avenue in White River Junction, Vermont, Upper Valley Honda chose Norwich Solar to install a 138-kilowatt DC, Net-Metered Photovoltaic (PV) System on their new state-of-the-art facility, delivering approximately 169,700 kWhs of electricity in the first full year of operation.
The system as proposed is interconnected to the existing Green Mountain Power utility grid to provide net metering credits from the electricity generated by the system to UV Honda’s GMP electric account. In its first full year of production, the system is estimated to generate $30,744 in net metering credits, and more than $825,000 worth of credit over a 25 year period.
The solar array provides Upper Valley Honda long-term energy cost reduction and stability through the integration of clean, renewable solar electricity.
We provided a turnkey system with all engineering, permitting, procurement, construction and commissioning. The flat membrane roof and the building’s siting and orientation allows for a design with very good array orientation for capture of solar irradiance. A ballast mount system sits on the surface only, not penetrating the flat membrane roof and offering protection from UV damage.
Norwich Solar Scope
Norwich Solar provided complete services for the project including permitting, site analysis, engineering, procurement, construction and long-term maintenance of the system.
Environmental Equivalents/ Offsets
In addition to long-term energy savings, the solar array will provide the following environmental benefits:
