Project Summary

Norwich Solar installed a 150 kW AC solar photovoltaic ground mount array in Springfield, VT for the benefit of the Springfield Housing Authority (SHA) using a Power Purchase Agreement so there would be no upfront cost and SHA would receive discounted solar power long term.

NST handled all details and logistics of the SHA project, including the permitting, engineering, design, procurement, construction, and ongoing maintenance.

Production Statistics

Without any capital expense or upfront cost, SHA is now expected to save more than $80,000 over the next 20 years. In addition, the SHA solar array will offset nearly 80 tons of CO2, the equivalent of 190,000 miles not driven or 40 tons of coal not burned every year.
