Project Summary

This 60.3kW, net-metered, distributed generation photovoltaic system serves Pirouette Farm loads and provides Community Solar in Norwich, VT. Installed in 2016, the system consists of (2) roof mounted arrays utilizing a DC to DC optimized topology to maximize power harvest. The arrays were installed using our patented EZ-PV MetaModule™ approach, the MetaModules were installed in (1) day with a minimal crew.

Norwich Solar Scope

Full scope Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC). During this project, Norwich Solar worked directly with the client from initial, conceptual planning stages through final installation. Norwich Solar played a key role in securing incentives and working with the local utility to ensure optimal production and return on investment. Norwich Solar EZ-PV MetaModule approach greatly improved installation efficiency while minimizing site disruption. The MetaModule approach increased safety and decreased crew size while minimizing material handling and site disruption.

Production Statistics

The system is scheduled to produce approximately 74,772kWh per year which is the equivalent of offsetting over 1,905,863 lbs.* of carbon emissions over the 30-year production life of the system. This is the equivalent to offsetting over 314 tons of coal.

* Estimate based on marginal emission rates for the New England regional grid as of 2011 (the most recent data available).
