Project Summary

Edgewater Farm is a family farm located along the plains of the Connecticut River in Plainfield, NH, with about 60 acres of tillable land on which fruit and vegetables are grown.  They have approximately 70,000 square feet of poly greenhouses in which they grow vegetable and ornamental bedding plants as well as greenhouse vegetables. Their produce is retailed directly through their greenhouses, a farm stand, through a CSA as well as being available at select locations in the Upper Valley area. They donate to area food shelves and kitchens through our participation with the local nonprofit organization Willing Hands. In 2016, they distributed well over 10 tons of Edgewater’s produce throughout the Upper Valley area.

The commitment to sustainable farming practices led them to partner with Norwich Solar to offset their energy load with a 17.36 kW-DC solar PV system roof-mounted on two of their barns.
