In addition to responding to maintenance requests, contractual O&M contracts, helping the Norwich Solar and EV teams on projects, our highly capable RunTime team has started an electrical apprenticeship program!

Our own Master Electrician, Tom Murphy, is leading the process. Electrical apprenticeship requires 8,000 hours to be eligible for the journeyman’s license, and 12,000 hours total to be eligible for the master’s license.

Vermont and many other states continue to struggle with a shortage of trained electricians and other construction professionals. It is estimated that over the next 10 years Vermont will need an additional 1,500 additional licensed electricians. We look forward to growing this apprentice program to support the future of renewable energy and electrification of our energy grid.
